Most probably your mouse is handled twice via two devices,
e.g. /dev/psaux and /dev/misc/psaux or /dev/input/mice.

Maybe because they are unchecked again by the second click.

XDirectFB doesn't use any configuration files apart from the directfbrc.

Check the initialization output and search for something like that:

(*) DirectFB/Input: PS/2 Mouse 0.9 (convergence integrated media GmbH)
(*) DirectFB/Input: Keyboard 0.9 (convergence integrated media GmbH)
