you could for example checkout lite and the DBFTerm modules from our
CVS repository. This gives you a nice terminal application running on
DirectFB where you can start other DirectFB applications from.

To check if the library was compiled with support for multiple
applications, check the output of any DirectFB app. It either says
Single or Multiple Application Core on startup.
