Yes the irq can be disabled by someone else. I think matroxfb in 2.4.22
will try to re-enable the irq if it get's disabled.

lavrec can't disable it. And it looks like the marvel driver does the
right thing and only touches irq sources it cares about. So it should not
disable either vline irq.
