I simply have this in  ~/.icon/default/index.theme

[Icon Theme]
Inherits=redglass

There's also a whiteglass theme. I also found some strange multi color 
cursors. I think they were in some KDE forum. Not that I use KDE but I
found a link somewhere. Unfortunately the icons were too large/weird for
my liking.
