Hi, Keyman Nets <codefreak@ieg.com.br> writes: > Are there any plans of implementation in the windowing system, of Bezier > curves, Poligons...i know that DirectFB suport images, lines, text...but > i think it will be very exciting to see something (in the near future) > like i new windowing system that can handle this kind of features...in > the X mode...i think is to hard! > I just wanna see something very plastic like minimizing FX like OS X are > doing....whatever, are there any plans? we thought about writing a library that implements more advanced drawing primitives in a DirectFB-compatible fashion but we will most certainly don't include this functionality in the core library. We haven't put any work into this yet so we are open for suggestions and contributions. The GDK port also needs a set of drawing routines to become complete. We could use the mi code from the The Open Group just like the linuxfb backend does, but it doesn't include any bezier or spline functions. It would be a start however. I don't think I'll find the time to hack on this in the near future, so if anyone is interested in this project, please raise your hand.
